Walk to Shelly Bay

A sprinkling of rain didn’t deter wha club this morning and we set off for our planned walk to Shelly Bay in Bowentown. This walk was a great introduction to our bush walks for our new four year olds Tristan, Jayden and Ayla Meares. Terry took along his fishing rod and had a few bites but alas no kingy to bring home. Thank you Marc Connolly for supporting us on this walk.

The tamariki explored the rock pools, gathered shells to bring back for craft work and persisted with things they felt they couldn’t do, like carrying their own bags back. It was wonderful to hear Sonny singing as she walked along the beach and the sound of the Tui in the trees above us.
